Juyoung PNS (CEO Park Jeong-gu), located in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced on the 14th that it has recently developed a reusable, eco-friendly pallet packaging solution called 'Eco-Bundle' and has begun full-scale domestic and international marketing.
Currently, one single logistics company in Korea discards 3,000 tons of stretch film annually. It is estimated that the total amount of stretch film discarded across the entire domestic logistics and transportation industry reaches hundreds of thousands of tons per year. While recyclable stretch film has recently been used to some extent, based on a 35% recycling rate, the production of one ton emits approximately 1.4 tons of carbon dioxide, leading to another form of environmental pollution.

The 'Eco-Bundle' is drawing attention as an innovative product capable of replacing the massive amounts of plastic packaging waste. Unlike traditional stretch film, which is discarded after a single use, this product is designed for repeated use, capable of reducing carbon emissions to 1/300th of current levels.
A key feature is the use of materials tailored to the characteristics of the cargo loaded on the pallet. General products utilize highly durable tarpaulin material, while mesh material is applied for fresh foods like fruits and vegetables, allowing for ventilation and quality preservation. It is designed to comprehensively cover pallets loaded in various sizes, allowing a single product to flexibly adapt to different dimensions.
The product is also well-received by companies for simplifying the packaging process, which reduces work time and drastically lowers packaging costs. As a result of a two-year pilot program using the Eco-Bundle as their pallet packaging, the specialized courier company Ilyang Logis achieved a 97% reduction in annual average waste.
In addition, it has been confirmed that using the Eco-Bundle for two years results in an 88.9% reduction in packaging costs compared to stretch film. If the lifespan of the Eco-Bundle is averaged at five years, it is expected to reduce plastic wrap waste by 99.4% and cut costs by 95.6%.
Furthermore, custom manufacturing is available to suit the type of palletized cargo. Existing plastic wrap often lacks ventilation, frequently causing food to spoil. The product has already completed both patent and design registrations.
