As the disposable packaging waste generated by the global logistics and transportation industry is increasingly cited as a major cause of environmental pollution, a domestic small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) is gaining attention by demonstrating waste reduction, carbon emission cuts, and cost savings simultaneously through an eco-friendly, reusable industrial packaging solution.

Juyoung PNS (CEO Park Jeong-gu), located in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is replacing the traditional stretch film (plastic wrap)-centered logistics packaging method through its reusable, eco-friendly pallet packaging solution, 'Eco-Bundle,' thereby reducing the environmental burden in logistics sites.

In domestic logistics and transportation sites, stretch film is widely used to secure palletized cargo, but it has the limitation of being discarded after a single use, resulting in massive plastic waste and carbon emissions. It has been pointed out that even recycled film is not a fundamental solution due to low recycling rates and additional carbon emissions.

To address this, the 'Eco-Bundle' developed by Juyoung PNS is an industrial packaging material designed for repeated use, characterized by its ability to significantly reduce waste generation compared to consumable packaging materials. Analysis of actual logistics sites showed that applying the Eco-Bundle reduces waste generation by approximately 98.5% and packaging costs by about 89% over a 2-year period compared to plastic wrap.
